Fight the Power

STOP AUSNET’S TOWERS VEHICLE RALLY – DAYLESFORD – SATURDAY NOVEMBER 19

WHEN ALL THE TREES ARE CUT DOWN
WHEN ALL THE ANIMALS ARE DEAD
WHEN WE CAN NO LONGER FARM
WHEN WE CAN NO LONGER LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
WHEN ALL THE WATER AND AIR IS POISONED
ONLY THEN WILL AUSNET, AEMO AND THE STATE GOVERNMENT REALISE YOU CANNOT EAT MONEY

Join our vehicle rally through the streets of Daylesford and tell the State Government to Stop AusNet’s Towers.

We can all bring about a change to this destructive, ill conceived and dangerous project.

If you don’t AusNet wins.

Saturday November 19th

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance is taking our fight to Daylesford. Join us as we send a message to the State Government and AEMO to Stop AusNet’s Towers.

Stop AusNet’s Towers supports renewable energy, supports action on climate change and supports the environment. A GREEN generation solution requires a GREEN transmission solution.

Using out-dated, inferior and destructive overhead electricity transmission technology is NOT in Australia’s strategic national interest, nor cost-effective.  Above ground transmission infrastructure is not a future proof solution and AusNet, AEMO and the government are green washing this project.

Rally Logistics:

  • We will convene at 9:00am (meeting point to be confirmed)
  • Vehicle Rally will commence at 10:00am and run for approximately 90 minutes

Bring your Tractors, Trucks, Cars, Semi’s, and Horses

We encourage you to decorate your Cars, Tractors, Trucks, Fire Trucks, and Farm Vehicles, Bring along your Horses, and/or Camels.

NEVER BE AFRAID TO RAISE YOUR VOICE FOR HONESTY AND TRUTH AND COMPASSION AGAINST INJUSTICE, LYING AND GREED.

STOP AUSNET’S TOWERS COMMUNITY MEETINGS & LEGAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 9 THROUGH TUESDAY NOVEMBER 15

The power of people is stronger than the power people – Let’s stand together to make a difference and Stop AusNet’s Towers.

We want to tell you more about our ongoing Legal Fight and allow you to ask questions of us.

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance has uncovered fundamental flaws in the Western Victorian Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (West Vic RIT-T) which was undertaken by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).

Save our farms, towns and communities. AusNet’s towers will be a blight on the region for generations. The proposed overhead transmission line project will have a 100-year impact on our communities.

The transition to renewable energy doesn’t need to leave an army of transmission towers and a massive terminal station in its wake.

Destroying the uniqueness of Western Victoria. There are better solutions that are not being considered.

  • Overhead powerlines are a proven bushfire risk
  • They will destroy Victoria’s highest producing agricultural land
  • They will decimate endangered species’ habitat
  • They will impact on property values
  • Tourism and the Environment will suffer
