Spring Street Rally

STOP AUSNET’S TOWERS RALLY – THIS COMING TUESDAY – MARCH 8TH

Come to Spring Street and tell the State Government to Stop AusNet’s Towers. If you don’t AusNet wins.

TUESDAY MARCH 8TH – 12:30PM

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance is taking our fight to Spring Street.

Join us on the steps of Parliament to send a message to the State Government: Stop AusNet’s Towers.

Too many politicians won’t come to us, so let’s go to them and tell them to save our communities and farms.

Stop AusNet’s Towers supports renewable energy, supports action on climate change and supports the environment. A GREEN generation solution requires a GREEN transmission solution.

Using out-dated, inferior and destructive overhead electricity transmission technology is NOT in Australia’s strategic national interest, nor cost-effective. Above ground transmission infrastructure is not a future proof solution and AusNet, AEMO and the government are green washing this project.

STEVE CURRY AT SPRING STREET RALLY

Actor, comedian and star of Australia’s iconic movie The Castle will join the Stop AusNet’s Towers Campaign along with affected community members when the fight is taken to Melbourne’s Spring Street and delivering a simple message: Stop AusNet’s Towers – save our environment, communities and farms.

Hundreds of farmers, residents and landowners will rally on the steps of the Victorian Parliament demanding the State Government refuse to approve AusNet’s proposal for overhead high-voltage transmission lines linking Ararat to Melbourne’s West.

A procession of tractors, horses, fire trucks and agricultural vehicles will form a vehicle procession around Parliament House along Spring Street, departing from Cathedral Place.

Membership, Fundraising and Volunteers

Membership, Fundraising and Volunteers

We have developed a comprehensive legal fight backed by significant public funding to date however to progress this challenge and force this project back to the drawing board we need to raise a further funds.

We all face significant financial loss if these towers and the terminal station are built.

Dig deep and tell your friends and neighbours. Every donation helps.
