Thanks to Kingston District Power Alliance

Thanks to Kingston and District Power Alliance

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance would like to acknowledge the generous donation from the Kingston and District Power Alliance (KDPA) and the community for their recent contributions toward our united fight.

KDPA planned and hosted a major fundraising Gala event, held at Quirindi Stables, Newlyn to raise funds to support the communities fight against the proposed Western Victorian Transmission Project.

The Gala event and auction was an excellent night and a wonderful fundraiser. Thank you to those who contributed to donations, planning and co-ordinating, and the many hours behind the scenes making the event a reality and tremendous success.

We are confident our collective fight against this project (in its current form) is having a meaningful positive impact that will deliver a superior result to the communities and to Victoria. On behalf of the many thousands of community members we sincerely appreciate the support from the KDPA.

As a united community we can change this ill-conceived and devastating project.

Springbank and Newlyn – June 25th

On Saturday June 25, 2022 – Springbank FNC hosted Newlyn FNC at the Wallace Reserve, Wallace.

Gate proceeds along with all money raised at the evenings Hoedown and Auction event have been donated to the Stop AusNet’s Towers fight.

At Wallace reserve over 1,000 people joined the fight against the proposed WVTNP. The Football and Netball Teams of both clubs were joined by supporters of the campaign on the field around the “Stop AusNet’s Towers” field art.

Thanks to all from Springbank and Newlyn for all their hard work in delivering two great events and to the community for it’s overwhelming support of the campaign.

As we have done for the past two years the community came together in solidarity and demanded this ill-conceived and dangerous project is stopped.

Membership, Fundraising and Volunteers

We have developed a comprehensive legal fight backed by significant public funding to date however to progress this challenge and force this project back to the drawing board we need to raise a further funds.

We all face significant financial loss if these towers and the terminal station are built.

Dig deep and tell your friends and neighbours. Every donation helps.
