Save our farms, towns and communities. AusNet’s towers will be a blight on the region for generations. The proposed overhead transmission line project will have a 100-year impact on our communities.

The transition to renewable energy doesn’t need to leave an army of transmission towers and a massive terminal station in its wake. Destroying the uniqueness of Western Victoria. There are better solutions that are not being considered.

Star of The Castle and many other great Australian and international TV shows and Movies, Steve Curry will be our MC at The Ballan (March 1^st ) and Springbank (March 2^nd) Community Meetings. Steve’s family’s property will be impacted by the proposed transmission corridor.

Join us on the steps of Parliament to send a message to the State Government: Stop AusNet’s Towers

Too many politicians won’t come to us, so let’s go to them and tell them to save our communities and farms

Stop AusNet’s Towers supports renewable energy, supports action on climate change and supports the environment. A GREEN generation solution requires a GREEN transmission solution.

Using out-dated, inferior and destructive overhead electricity transmission technology is NOT in Australia’s strategic national interest, nor cost-effective.  Above ground transmission infrastructure is not a future proof solution and AusNet, AEMO and the government are green washing this project.

Rally Logistics

Attending on Foot: We will be providing transport by Chartered Buses, you will need to pre-book your seat. Each booking comes with a complimentary Stop AusNet’s Towers T-Shirt. Chartered buses will depart Tuesday morning (March 8^th) from Creswick, Wallace, Myrniong, Ballan, Bacchus Marsh and Melton. Bus parking locations will be advised shortly.

Note there will be no trains running on the Ballarat line on Tuesday March 8^th due to track works.

Bringing Tractors, Trucks, and/or Animals

We encourage you to bring your Tractors, Farm Vehicles, Horses, Camels, and even Elephants (if you have one).

Note special arrangements have been made to unload tractors, park large vehicles and for vehicles and animals to join the rally convoy.

Sunday March 6^th at 11am

At Kingston Showgrounds, Church Parade Kingston we will be hosting a Banner Painting Event

For our Spring Street Rally we want to ensure our message is both heard and seen. On Sunday March 6^th at 11am at the Kingston Showgrounds we will be hosting a Banner Painting Event. Bring along the kids, your creativity and help us paint banners that will be displayed on tractors, trucks and carried to the steps of Parliament House.

If you can contribute material for banners (canvas, old sheets etc.), paint, and paint brushes – please bring these along to the event.
